Athearn is doing a new run of UP 4-8-8-4 Big Boys and a new run of DRGW, UP, and
Clinchfield 4-6-6-4 Challengers with DCC and Tsumani sound. Reservations for
these are due by 4/20/2012....delivery is expected in January/February 2013. List
Price for the Big Boys will be $499.95 and $479.95 for the Challengers; TRFTrains
will have special pricing for those customers who wish to preorder units with a
deposit; we will also accept customer reservations for these units subject to
availability from Athearn. We anticipate this production run of locomotives to be
sold out with nothing available to those who decide to wait. Contact us for
'preorder' and 'reservation' discounts.
Atlas Master ..... a 'new' model 4-4-0 Locomotive in PRR, NH, CP, SF,
painted/unlettered and Undecorated schemes. There were about 25,000 of these
locos built and running in the US in the 1800s; Civil War and Old West Era modelers
get a quality loco (reservations due by 5/2/12); 33000 gallon LPG tank cars in AAMX,
GINX, Petrolane, Shipper's Car Line, and 'fantasy' PRR schemes; EV and Standard
Cabooses in GN, NS, Burlington, ATSF, NW, NP, Reading, and Soo schemes (due by
5/2/12).
Atlas Trainman ..... 90 Ton Hoppers in new road numbers for C&O, CNW, NS, PRR,
and ATSF. New paint scheme in CI (Chattahoochee Ind.) (due by 5/2/12).
Fox Valley Models....they are rerunning the Milwaukee Road 1935 Hiawatha 4-4-2
loco and cars....this time as individual items (two different loco schemes, cafe car, 5
different numbered coaches, parlor car, and observation car (Nokomis)...get your
order in 'cuz these will be limited!! (due by 5/1/12); GE ES44AC GEVOs in CSX
'Heritage' schemes...first four will be CR, Southern, NKP, and Central of Ga.
(reservations bue by 5/4/12).
Fox Valley Models....FMC 5283 DD Boxcars in SP, SSW, CP (four new road numbers)
and SSW (ex GWS0, Ahnapee Western, WP (w/ UP shield), A&M, and McCloud River
(new paint schemes - 2 to 4 numbers each) (due by 5/2/12).
BLMA Models....GA 3500 Dry Flo Covered Hopper in six schemes.....BN, UP, PRR,
CNW, Diamond Sugar, and Shell Plastics....reservations due by 4/30/12.
TWX/FVM....Trainworx and Fox Valley have teamed up to produce the unique Rio
Grande FMC Woodpackers...an FMC 5283 DD boxcar with etched metal 'waffling' in
the sides....in 12 individual road numbers. These will come ready to roll with body
mounted MT couplers and FVM metal wheel sets (reservations due 4/27/12).
Exact Rail ...... placing orders now for PS2 Covered Hoppers in six schemes....CNW,
BN, LV, Soo Line, Chessie (WM), and ATSF. Also announced new run of TTX 50'
HyCube boxcar in 18 road numbers...get them now as the last run sold out
extremely quickly!
Trainworx ...... 85' flatcars in ATSF (6 road #s) and trailers in Bud of California,
Sunkist, and six different Santa Fe schemes (6 trlr. #s per scheme). Reservations
due by 4/30/12.
Intermountain ..... WWII War Emergency boxcars in ATSF, CP, CNW, GM&O, NKP, and
Wabash in 6 road numbers each (reservations due by 4/30/12).
Bluford Shops ..... Transfer cabooses in Conrail, IHB, GT, Amtrak, KCS, and GN.
